Frequently Asked QuestionsFor Sponsors
Is Stars Scholarship Fund a 501(c)(3) non profit?
Yes, we are a non profit designated as a 501(c)(3). We can provide a copy of our non-profit status or our current W-9 at your request.
How much of the sponsorship donation goes towards scholarships?
100%! Stars Scholarship Fund commits 100% of funds donated by sponsors to student scholarships. We are fortunate to have L&F Distributors underwrite operating expenses of our organization.
When are your Extravaganzas?
Our Annual Extravaganzas are held every Fall season. Dates have ranged from September through March and are determined by artist/presenter schedules.
When can I get information regarding Extravaganzas?
We typically release information for sponsorships two to three months prior to our events. We can provide general sponsorship information at any point in the year, however waiting until our official announcements will provide more detailed information.
Do you sell individual seats to Extravaganzas?
We do not sell individual seats to our events. Sponsorships include a table to our private event. In some cases we will consider selling 1/2 a table, but this is addressed on a case by case basis.
Is sponsoring an Extravaganza the only way to donate to Stars?
No, we have several opportunities for individuals or organizations to support Stars. Aside from a straight donation to Stars, we offer an Employee Giving Program and we partner with organizations to hold fundraisers with their own customers to benefit Stars. As a grass-roots non-profit we have the ability to be flexible in our fundraising efforts and welcome any opportunity to discuss ideas...just give us a call!
I sponsored an Extravaganza and need a receipt for tax purposes?
At the end of the year we send all sponsors that have made a contribution for the calendar year a receipt to be used for tax purposes reflecting the contribution amount and any costs of goods or services exchanged. If you did not receive your letter, please contact our office and we will be happy to provide you with another copy.
