Stars Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to academically talented and highly motivated students who intend to pursue full-time undergraduate, graduate or doctoral degrees. Applicants can attend any accredited college or university of their choosing.
Stars Scholarship Fund recipients represent every level of higher education and all fields of study, as we award students of either genders, any ethnicity, religion, and background.
Our scholarship does not cover all costs of attending college. The intent of Stars Scholarship Fund is to fill the gap for students who demonstrate high academic achievement and who must rely on loans or pay out of pocket to pay for their tuition expenses. Scholarship amounts vary by school and range from $250 per semester up to $5,000 per semester for a fall and spring disbursements. On average, our scholarship offers are $1,000 per semester ($2,000 total award).

Application Process
Each application is reviewed for eligibility and scored based on quantitative data obtained from the applicant’s application records. Our process ensures that candidates are selected fairly and objectively, with each candidate demonstrating academic excellence and financial need.
Stars Scholarship Fund awards recipients based on three (3) factors:
- Grade Point Average (GPA) – obtained from official transcript
- Earned Hours – obtained from official transcript
- Financial Need – obtained from Student Aid Report
Financial need is determined using the student’s Expected Family Contribution (EFC) score as calculated by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This is a measure of the family’s ability to pay for the child’s college education as determined by the Federal Government. Although we use the EFC score, we do not require applicants to be Pell Grant eligible, nor do applicants have to accept any aid offered to them by their school.
