We are thrilled to announce the details for the 2026 Rio Grande Valley Extravaganza! Join us on Thursday, April 16, 2026, for another unforgettable evening bringing our community together in support of students across South and West Texas.

This year’s event promises to be a fun, high-energy night with a relaxed, welcoming vibe and a powerful purpose, the signature Extravaganza experience our supporters know and love.

Featuring Anjelah Johnson-Reyes

We are excited to welcome comedian Anjelah Johnson-Reyes as this year’s featured entertainer. One of the most successful stand-up comedians working today, Anjelah sells out theaters around the world and is sure to bring an incredible energy to our stage. It is going to be a night to remember!

A Night That Makes a Difference

By attending the Rio Grande Valley Extravaganza, you are doing more than enjoying a great event…you are helping change lives. One hundred percent of the proceeds support student scholarships through Stars Scholarship Fund, helping make higher education more attainable for students throughout South and West Texas.

Continuing Our Commitment to Mental Health

We are proud to continue the Mental Health Initiative, launched by Stars Scholarship Fund with the LaMantia Family, which supports Master of Science in Social Work graduates pursuing licensure as Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs).

Led by Texas State Senator and Stars Board Chair Morgan LaMantia, this initiative addresses the growing need for culturally and linguistically competent mental health professionals. Through a $1 million family pledge, the program helps remove financial barriers by covering supervision costs and providing critical training opportunities. Programs are already underway at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, with expansion continuing in West Texas.
